Clarification Notice within the scope of Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (“KVKK”)

This clarification text pertains to the processing of personal data of individuals who visit, become members of, and/or shop at mootlu.com.
2) Categories of Personal Data Processed
- Identity: name, surname
- Contact: e-mail, phone, address
- Customer Transaction / Order: shopping cart, order, return/exchange records, request/complaint
- Payment / Billing: billing information (card data is obtained through bank/payment institution screens, not stored on our site)
- Marketing / Preference: communication permissions, campaign preferences
- Transaction Security / Log: IP, device-browser information, session/log records, cookie records
3) Purposes of Processing Personal Data
Your personal data is processed for the purposes of;
- Membership creation and management, order creation and fulfillment, delivery, return/exchange processes,
- Customer relations, request/complaint management and technical support,
- Billing and accounting transactions, fulfillment of legal obligations,
- Ensuring website security and preventing misuse,
- Campaigns, promotions and personalized marketing communications, provided your explicit consent is obtained,
- Measuring site performance and improving user experience with cookies and analytical tools.
4) Parties to Whom Personal Data May Be Transferred and Their Purposes
Your personal data may be transferred domestically in accordance with Articles 8 and (if applicable) 9 of the KVKK, to;
- Our service providers (hosting/IT, cargo/logistics, payment institutions, call center, e-mail/SMS providers, legal/accounting consultants) for the purpose of product/service supply and operation execution,
- Authorized public institutions and organizations for the purpose of fulfilling obligations arising from legislation.
International Transfer: Overseas servers may be used for analytics, cloud services, or email infrastructures. In these cases, the transfer is based on your explicit consent within the scope of KVKK article 9, or it is carried out when the safeguards stipulated by the Board are provided.
5) Method of Personal Data Collection and Legal Grounds
Your data is collected automatically through forms on our website, membership/order steps, cookies, and digital communication channels. The legal grounds for processing are:
- KVKK Art. 5/2 (c): Necessity for the establishment/performance of a contract (order, delivery, return),
- KVKK Art. 5/2 (ç): Fulfillment of a legal obligation (billing, retention),
- KVKK Art. 5/2 (e)-(f): Establishment/exercise/protection of a right; legitimate interest (site security, prevention of fraud),
- KVKK Art. 5/1: Explicit consent (commercial electronic communication, marketing/analytical cookies, international transfer).
Traffic information/log records are kept within the scope of Law No. 5651 and related secondary legislation.
6) Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are used to improve site experience, measure performance, and conduct marketing activities (if consent is given).
You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings; you can withdraw your explicit consent for marketing cookies at any time.
Details will be valid when the Cookie Policy is published.
7) Retention Periods
Your personal data is stored for the maximum period necessary for the purpose, in accordance with the periods stipulated in the relevant legislation and our company's retention and destruction policy; when the period expires, it is deleted, destroyed, or anonymized.
(E.g., accounting/invoice data for at least 10 years.)
8) Rights of the Data Subject under KVKK Art. 11
By applying to us, you have the right to;
- Learn whether your personal data is being processed,
- Learn the purposes of processing and whether they are used appropriately,
- Know the third parties to whom data is transferred domestically/internationally,
- Request correction if data is incomplete/incorrectly processed,
- Request deletion/destruction if processing is contrary to KVKK and related legislation,
- Request notification of these operations to third parties to whom data has been transferred,
- Object to an outcome arising from the analysis by automated systems against you,
- Request compensation if damage occurs.
9) Application Procedure (KVKK Art. 13)
You can submit your requests regarding your rights;

- (preferably with documents that confirm identity).
Your applications will be concluded within 30 days at the latest, depending on their nature. A fee may only be charged in cases stipulated by the KVKK.

This Clarification Text may be updated as needed.
The most current version becomes effective upon its publication on mootlu.com.
